Sunset Hike from Aito to Deir Hamatoura - Koora
We’ll begin our journey in the peaceful pine forests surrounding Deir Mar Semaan in Aito, then follow a scenic trail along the edge of the majestic Qadisha Valley, leading us to the Deir Hamatoura – a monastery carved into the mountainside and accessible only by foot.
This hike is a gentle to moderate level (5–6/10), covering around 10 KM with no significant ascents. The final segment will take us along a narrow path overlooking the valley, followed by a descent down the monastery’s historical stone stairs.

رحلة مشي عند الغروب من إيطو إلى دير حماطورة – الكورة
سنبدأ مسيرتنا في غابات الصنوبر الهادئة المحيطة بدير مار سمعان في إيطو، ونتابع على دربٍ خلاب بمحاذاة وادي قاديشا الشامخ، لنصل إلى دير حماطورة – ديرٌ منحوت داخل الجبل لا يمكن الوصول إليه إلا سيرًا على الأقدام.
هذه الرحلة مصنّفة بين سهلة إلى متوسطة الصعوبة (5–6 من 10) وتمتد على مسافة حوالي 10 كيلومتر، دون صعود حاد. في الجزء الأخير، نسير على ممر ضيق يُشرف على الوادي، ثم ننزل عبر الدرج الحجري التاريخي المؤدي إلى الدير.
