Trip 540: Hiking from Batloun to Mokhtara


The weather is still very good for hiking, so join the Footprints Nature Club this Sunday 26 June 2022 to walk on a beautiful trail in Shouf Region:

Hiking from Batloun to Mokhtara near Barouk River

(Shouf Biosphere Reserve)

The trail is in the zone of the Shouf Biosphere Reserve.

The trail is so beautiful that we make sure to open it for various levels, especially that we will walk near the Barouk River. We won't say more, enjoy the photos on our website to know what we are talking about...

We will start our walk from the village of Batloun, and head down to the valley thru a historic road before starting our walk in the valley near the river. We will enjoy the views of Berket El-3arous when we finish our trail in Mokhtara.

The walk is of an Easy to Medium Level (6 to 7/10). It will be around 10 KMs. It shall take around 5 hours. We can extend the trail for an extra 3 or 4 KMs to enjoy the views of the historic bridges in Wadi Mokhtara over Barouk River.

مشي في الطبيعة من بتلون الى المختارة في وادي نهر الباروك

رحلتنا ستكون بالقرب من نهر الباروك وتحديداً من منطقة وادي المختارة والتي تقع في جزء منها ضمن نطاق محمية ارز الشوف.

لمعرفة مدى جمال المنطقة، فقط استمتعوا ببعض الصور الرائعة على الموقع.

رحلتنا ستبدأ من بلدة بتلون الرائعة لنتوجه نزولاً عبر درب قديم الى النهر ثم يبدأ مسيرنا داخل الوادي لنصل الى وادي المختارة.

المستوى العام للرحلة سيكون مستوى سهل الى متوسط: (6 الى 7\10) مسافة 10 كلم ووقت حوالي 5 ساعات.
