Trip 520: Sunset Hiking from Bakish to Baskinta


The Footprints Nature Club would like to invite you this Saturday 11 July 2020, to magnificent Sunset Hike on a trail in Matn Region, in a splendid area overlooking the sea, Beirut, and lots of other amazing sceneries:

Sunset Hiking from Bakish to Baskinta

Our walk will be of an Easy to Medium levelWe will start our walk from Qanat Bakish, and end in Baskinta, at the tomb of the great poet Michael Neaime. The trail will be around 7 KMs that will take around 2 to 3 hours.

During our walk, we will pass through the famous Mountain of Sannine, Cedars of Bakish, and the Michael Neaime tomb.

مشي في الطبيعة وقت الغروب من باكيش الى بسكنتا

الرحلة ستكون بمستوى سهل الى متوسط. سيبدأ المشي من قناة باكيش نزولاً الى ساحة الشاعر الكبير ميخائيل نعيمة في بلدة بسكنتا الجميلة. مسافة الرحلة حوالي 7 كلم.

Your personal insurance.

Cost Fees

Trip cost 40,000 L.L., includes:

  • Transportation from and back to Beirut
  • Cost of the guides

Gathering Place & Time

Our gathering will be at the traffic lights on the crossroad of the General Security building الأمن العام and El-Mathaf المتحف region in Beirut. You can park in the parking nearby starting 3:00 PM

We will start on Saturday 11 Jul, 2020 at 03:00 PM.
The bus will move at 03:35 PM.
We will not stop on the way. We might be obliged to do some modifications to the plans as needed during the trips.
We will finish on Saturday 11 Jul, 2020 at 11:00 PM.

    KNOW YOUR ABILITIES; CHOOSE AN APPROPRIATE HIKE.

    THE LESS YOU CARRY, THE MORE ENJOYABLE THE HIKE.

    Avoid Huffing and Puffing

    IF YOU CAN TALK WHILE YOU ARE WALKING, YOU ARE WALKING THE PERFECT SPEED.

    Take a Break

    TAKE A TEN MINUTE BREAK AT LEAST ONCE EVERY HOUR.

  • 05

    No Food, No Fuel, No Fun

    DRINK FREQUENTLY AND EAT OFTEN.
