Trip 503: Hiking from Qortada to Ras El-Maten to Wadi La Martine


One of the best hikes for 2019 will be on a very nice trail in a very beautiful region that will take us this Sunday 15 December 2019 with the Footprints Nature Club. We will head towards the Matn region to walk from:

Hiking from Qortada to Ras El-Matn to Wadi La Martine

The trail will start from Qortada village then head up in the pine forest to reach Ras El-Matn. We will then head on the edge of the La Martine valley going down to the Nabe3 region in Ras El-Matn. This will be the end of the first level. The second level will continue towards the Chmasi village.

This trail will be of two levels:

  1. Easy to Medium level (6/10). It will be around 9 KMs. It shall take around 4 hours.
  2. Medium Level (6 to 7/10). It will be around 14 KMs. It shall take around 5 hours.

In this season, the weather is always unstable especially in mountains. Thus make sure to get heavy jackets and other warm stuff with you in all the hikes.

رحلتنا ستبدأ من بلدة قرطاضة صعوداً نحو بلدة رأس المتن حيث سنشرف على وادي لا مارتين الرائع. نكمل مسيرنا الى الوادي لننتهي ببلدة الشميسة.

المستوى العام للرحلة سيكون:

  1. سهل الى متوسط (6/10) بمسافة حوالي 9 كلم ووقت حوالي 4 ساعات
  2. متوسط (6 الى 7/10) بمسافة حوالي 12 كلم ووقت حوالي 5 ساعات

    TAKE A TEN MINUTE BREAK AT LEAST ONCE EVERY HOUR.

    No Food, No Fuel, No Fun

    DRINK FREQUENTLY AND EAT OFTEN.
