Trip 483: Special Trip to Khenchara


The Footprints Nature Club members are invited this Sunday 23 June 2019 to a very special event that is organized by USAID & The Municipality of Khenchara in the Metn Region:

Special Hiking Day in Khenchara - Metn

A hiking trip at Khenchara Village, in a pine forest as a support and solidarity act and to experience endurance,self challenge, and adventure.
 
Our journey will be at Khenchara village located in Metn District, rich in historical monuments, traditional houses, old churches and enchanting nature.
 
The Drubna trail starts from Tallet el Mkarzel overlooking at Matn villages and will go down through the pine forest towards Mar Youhanna’s Monastery passing by two main springs, an old grape press and churches till we reach our final destination at Mar Youhanna’s Monastery founded between 1696 and 1697 and home  to the first Printer in arabic letters in the middle east and Mar Nqoula church characterized by its iconostasis of oak wood.

The hiking trip will be of an Easy Level (Around 5 KMs)...

Lunch will be served with an additional fees that are paid directly to the organizers...

    • زيارة المطبعة العربية الاولى في لبنان والشرق

    No Food, No Fuel, No Fun

    DRINK FREQUENTLY AND EAT OFTEN.
