Trip 459: Hiking from Mazra3et El-Shouf to Bisri


In the oranges picking season, what could be better than walking among the oranges fields this Sunday 16 December 2018, with the Footprints Nature Club while:

Hiking from Mazra3et El-Shouf to Bisri

We will start from the lovely village Mazra3et El-Shouf that lies at the edge of the hill overlooking the Barouk River Valley and the Bisri River Valley between the Olive Trees. We will head down an old Roman road before reaching the agricultural road at the side of the Bisri River to walk among the Oranges Trees. Our lunch-break will be in a small, yet very beautiful pine forest. Our walk will end in Bisri Village.

The trail will all be downhill from Mazra3et El-Shouf to the river, and then all straight at the side of the Bisri River. No uphills will be on our way.

We will have some historical bridges and poles, in addition to the beautiful natural views.

The walk will be of an Easy to Medium Level (6 to 7/10) yet a bit long. The total distance is around 12 KMs taking around 4 to 5 hours.

Note that we don’t cancel our trip if the weather is raining. Just get your waterproof stuff and come to enjoy walking under the rain.

في موسم قطاف الليمون، ندعوكم هذا الأحد 16 كانون الأول 2018 للمشي معنا بين حقول الليمون، وتحديداً:

مشي في الطبيعة من مزرعة الشوف الى بسري

رحلتنا ستبدأ من بلدة مزرعة الشوف التي تطل على وادي نهر الباروك ووادي نهر بسري بين حقول الزيتون. سننزل الى النهر عبر معبور روماني قديم لنمشي بعدها على طريق زراعية مليئة بأشجار الليمون، بمحاذاة النهر وصولاً الى غابة صنوبر رائعة للاستراحة. نكمل بعدها المسير لننتهي في بلدة بسري.

المستوى العام للرحلة هو سهل الى متوسط (6-7/10) بمسافة حوالي 12 كلم ووقت حوالي 4- 5 ساعات.

ملاحظة اننا لا نلغي رحلاتنا عادة اذا كان الطقس ماطراً. كل ما علينا فعله هو اخذ ملابس واحذية خاصة للاستمتاع بالمشي تحت المطر.
