The Footprints Nature Club would like to invite you this Sunday 19 Nov 2017 to walk on a new trail that will take us to the most beautiful place in Lebanon, and it becomes even more beautiful in this amazing Fall weather:
Hiking from Jurd Beit Ayoub to Qamou3a - Ghabet El-3othor
Well it is the famous forest of Qamoo3a in Akkar El-Ateeka region. The forest extends from Wadi Jhannam to Qobayyat and Fnaydek, thus having more than 10 million trees of different species.
It is simply one of the most beautiful places in Lebanon.
Throughout the trail we will have un-describable natural views. Just have a look at the photos of the region. We will pass through Al3othor forest غابة العُذر on our way. This forest is a very unique forest in terms of its beauty and type of trees. Note that enjoying the views in the forest in Fall season is totally different than seeing it in Spring.
The level of the hike will be Easy to Medium Level (Around 13 KMs) with some difficulties. We will start from Jurd Beit Ayoub at around 1950 meters, then head towards the edge of Jabal 3orouba at around 2050 meters, before heading towards Qamou3a region to end in Ghabet El-3other...
Note that we will stop on the way back for 30 minutes in Tripoli as a midway break since the road is too long...
In this season, the weather is always unstable especially in mountains. Thus make sure to get heavy jackets and other warm stuff with you in all the hikes.

رحلتنا لهذا الأحد 19 تشرين الثاني 2017، ستكون على درب جديد سيأخذنا إلى أجمل المناطق اللبنانية للمشي في الطبيعة في قضاء عكار، وخصوصاً في هذا الطقس الخريفي الرائع،
مشي في الطبيعة من جرد بيت أيوب إلى منطقة القموعة - غابة العذر
رحلتنا ستبدأ من منطقة جرد بيت أيوب على ارتفاع حوالي 1950 متر، نتجه بعدها إلى سفح جبل عروبة الشهير على ارتفاع حوالي 2100 متر. نكمل طريقنا بعدها إلى غابة القموعة ذات المناخ والطبيعة الرائعة. غابة القموعة هي واحدة من أكبر غابات لبنان وأجملها، وبالذات غابة العذر الفريدة في لبنان. والمنطقة تزداد جمالاً خلال فصل الخريف وألوانه المميزة (انظر الصور).
الرحلة ستكون بمستوى سهل إلى متوسط مع بعض الصعوبة (حوالي 13 كلم).
ملاحظة: فإننا سنتوقف في طرابلس لمدة نصف ساعة للاستراحة نظراً لطول الطريق...
الطقس في هذه الفترة من السنة متقلب كثيراً. لذا يجب على الجميع احضار الجاكيتات الدافئة وغيرها من الأشياء لتفادي البرد الموجود خصوصاً على الجبال.
