Trip 379: Camping in Wadi Mokhtara

The first camping event for 2017 with  the Footprints Nature Club will take place on Saturday and Sunday 6 & 7 May 2017 in the very special and beautiful nature of Shouf, and specifically:

Camping in Wadi Mokhtara - Barouk River with Rappel in Mazra3et El-Shouf

The Spring weather is promising to be perfect thus allowing us to enjoy the stay in a private location specially prepared for camping at the bank if the Barouk River. There is a possibility for those who don't want to sleep in tents, to sleep inside the chalet in two big common rooms.

The location is prepared with electricity, water and shared toilets. So no need to bother about these issues like you do in the wild camping trips.

That is not all, on Saturday night, we will enjoy a walk in the area nearby.

In the morning, we will have our breakfast of Manakish and Soft Drink or Tea, pack our stuff, and enjoy one of the two activities:

  • Easy Level Hike: We will enjoy an easy level walk near the Barouk River.
  • Rappel in Mazra3et El-Shouf: For those who don't want to do hiking, we will go to Mazra3et El-Shouf village to do a Medium Level Rappel. Extra fees of 20,000 LBP applies.

Reservations shall be done as soon as possible as places are limited. Payments will have to be paid in full before Saturday.

Note that Alcoholic Drinks are strictly not allowed during our trips and in the Camp...
