Trip 444: Caving in Rouiss


One of the activities that can be done with all the weather conditions is Caving.

We will be exploring this Sunday 26 August 2018 the second largest cave in Lebanon after the Jeita Cave.

Caving in Rouiss Cave - Akoura

The beauty of the cave is designed not by a human artist, but by water. Stalactites and Stalagmites are formed all over our way in the cave giving a natural beauty that is really indescribable.

Who can do it? All of you hikers who are not claustrophobic (afraid of closed places) or Achluophobic (afraid of darkness) will enjoy this activity and totally new experience to the max. It will not be difficult as it is an amateur exploration.

Our exploration will be of a Medium Level (6 to 7/10 – 4 to 5 KMs – 4 to 5 hours)...

Cost Fees

Trip cost 40,000 L.L., includes:

  • Transportation from and back to Beirut
  • Cost of the guides
  • Equipment Rental

Gathering Place & Time

Our gathering will be at the traffic lights on the crossroad of the General Security building الأمن العام and El-Mathaf المتحف region in Beirut. You can park in the parking nearby, starting 7:00 AM...

We will start on Sunday 26 Aug, 2018 at 07:00 AM.
The bus will move at 07:35 AM.
We will stop for breakfast on the way. We might be obliged to do some modifications to the plans as needed during the trips.
We will finish on Sunday 26 Aug, 2018 at 07:00 PM.

    THE LESS YOU CARRY, THE MORE ENJOYABLE THE HIKE.

    IF YOU CAN TALK WHILE YOU ARE WALKING, YOU ARE WALKING THE PERFECT SPEED.

    Take a Break

    TAKE A TEN MINUTE BREAK AT LEAST ONCE EVERY HOUR.

    No Food, No Fuel, No Fun

    DRINK FREQUENTLY AND EAT OFTEN.
