Extreme Trip 352: Extreme Hiking from Hasroun to Arz Bsharre


 

We at the Footprints Nature Club always work towards improving our services to our members. And in order to meet the needs of some hikers who always want to do hiking trips of hard and advanced levels, we will always try to organize trips that we will call:

Footprints Extreme Trips

The Footprints Nature Club Extreme Trip for this Sunday 02 October 2016, will be in teh same region of the normal trip, and precisly:

Extreme Hiking from Hasroun Village to Arz (Cedars) Forest

We will start at an altitude of around 1800 meters in Hasroun village and head up the mountains to reach an altitude of around 2,500 meters. We will then walk at the top of the mountains to enjoy the un-describable views of the Qadisha Valley and the surrounding areas before reaching Dahr Al-Qadib Mountain above the Bsharre Cedars Forest. We will head down on a steep descent to reach the Forest and end our trail.

The hike is of an Advanced Hard Level (8/10) with overall length that might vary between 15 and 20 KMs depending on the conditions. We will start at an elevation of around 1800 meters and reach around 2600 meters. It shall take between 6 and 7 hours.

For those who want to enter to the Cedars Forest, an extra 5,000 LBP shall be paid as entrance fees.

    IF YOU CAN TALK WHILE YOU ARE WALKING, YOU ARE WALKING THE PERFECT SPEED.

    Take a Break

    TAKE A TEN MINUTE BREAK AT LEAST ONCE EVERY HOUR.

    No Food, No Fuel, No Fun

    DRINK FREQUENTLY AND EAT OFTEN.
