Trip 272: Hiking in Ouyoun Samak - Wadi Jhannam


The Footprints Nature Club trip for this Sunday 26 April 2015 will be a hiking event in one of the gorgeous places of Lebanon:

Hiking in Ouyoun Al-Samak - Jhannam Valley

Ouyoun Al-Samak and Wadi Jhannam are two of the most beautiful places to walk in Lebanon. That is why we won't say more about it, we will simply leave it for the photos to describe the place.

We will be hiking from the famous Lake of Ouyoun Samak all the way through the Valley of Jahannam. As we would like members of all potentials and levels to enjoy and see the beauty of this place, the Footprints Nature Club is the only club to give you the opportunity to enjoy this place with three different levels walking together:

  • Easy Level (4 to 5/10 – 7 KMs – 3 to 4 hours): The trail will start at an altitude of 300 meters and elevate easily to an altitude of 500 meters.
  • Medium Level (6/10 – 12 KMs – 4 hours): The trail will start at an altitude of 250 meters and elevate easily to an altitude of 500 meters.
  • If there is enough time, we will continue for a HARD LEVEL (8/10 - 15 KMs - 5 hours) that will take us from the elevation of 500 meters to the elevation of 950 meters.

مشي في الطبيعة في منطقة عيون السمك - وادي جهنم

المشي سيبدأ من بحيرة عيون السمك الرائعة داخل وادي جهنم في رحلة من ثلاثة مستويات:

  • مستوى سهل: حوالي 7 كلم بوقت حوالي 3 الى 4 ساعات.
  • مستوى متوسط: حوالي 11 كلم بوقت حوالي 4 الى 5 ساعات.
  • في حال كان هناك متسع من الوقت، سنتابع مسيرنا إلى المستوى الصعب: حوالي 15 كلم بوقت حوالي 5 الى 6 ساعات.

    Be a Lightweight

    THE LESS YOU CARRY, THE MORE ENJOYABLE THE HIKE.

    Avoid Huffing and Puffing

    IF YOU CAN TALK WHILE YOU ARE WALKING, YOU ARE WALKING THE PERFECT SPEED.

    Take a Break

    TAKE A TEN MINUTE BREAK AT LEAST ONCE EVERY HOUR.

  • 05

    No Food, No Fuel, No Fun

    DRINK FREQUENTLY AND EAT OFTEN.
